I have taught fiddle to dozens of children and adults, from age 7 to 77, from total beginners to concert violinists. My main goal as a teacher is to make fiddling fun for you. Of course the better you get, the more fun it is. Lessons are tailored to the interests and aptitudes of the individual student. I can help you learn and hone your skills in old time, bluegrass, Celtic, Cajun, and klezmer fiddling, and show you rudiments of music theory. I teach primarily by ear, so students develop their ability to play what they hear. I get a great deal of satisfaction from seeing my students progress in their fiddling and their overall sense of musicianship.
